I love nothing more than getting a text message from someone who already has a boobscape, asking for another. Her sister constantly talked about the Boobscape already in her home so she commissioned this piece as a gift. I based it on the Phi Phi Island in Thailand.

(painting) 4 X 4 and a Little More
4 X 4 and a Little More was an exhibition held at Hashtag Gallery late 2016. It featured art that was either 4"x4" or 6"x6". These are the pieces that I submitted. They are all 4"x4" acrylic on wood panel.
Boobscape #6. Boobscape #7. Cat Lady. Cody Cupman Stuck in the Phantom Zone. Draw!. Dog Brain. Mrs Toronto. Mr Toronto. I Drink What I Like. Pie Rat. Slot Shaming. The Moon is Always Full in Space. Things That Are Strange
If you've never been to Hashtag Gallery it is a really nice space. There is the ground floor with a large bay window and a small office space hidden in the back. Downstairs is a slightly smaller area where the gallery had set up their bar.
For this show they had the walls of both floors covered floor to ceiling in art. As I walked through the gallery my eye would fall upon work from one artist or another peppered throughout the exhibition. You definitely had to walk through several times because you'll see something new on each journey. After the opening reception the works were sold off the wall. As I gazed through the front window on walks that took me by the gallery I watched the gaps between art grow.
All in all the show was a great success, not only did I sell a few pieces but also ended up with a couple of commissions as well (seen below). Big shout out to the amazing people at Hashtag Gallery.

(painting) Northern Boobscape
I was discussing Canadian art the other day and my co worker kept referring to the Group of Seven and their "wonderful landscapes that totally capture the Canadian experience." That got me thinking about painting another Boobscape, this time taking place in the frozen north. The idea is that the landscape is cold, yet inviting. I would like to thank all the girls out there on the internet who post pictures of themselves naked, without you as reference material this painting would never have been possible.

(illustration) Aaron the Amputee Goes to a New School
I've had this idea in my head for a little while now. A kids book for amputees. The original story had to bee tweaked here and there because of how it played with stereotypes. Hell stereotypes are the entire baseis of the book. All the kids in the story are stereotypes themselves but are stereotyping Aaron the entire time. The story is also about overcoming those same stereotypes.
This is a quick layout of the story the final illustrations will be "hand" painted with my left hand.
Any feedback I could get before the finishing touches are made would be great.
If you had the chance of seeing the entrie preview, you win a gold star. If not, the above is the first few pages. The book is short, but not that short.

(painting, digital illustration) Christmas Time Has Past
For Christmas this year I made art instead of running around from store to store. For my friend Laura, I painted a human skull made up from different animal skulls. Trust me it makes sense if you know the kind of art she makes. In fact you can see it at laurascholey.com.
My Friend DC was a more playful gift. I made copies of the new Adventures of Batman and Robin. The DVD's needed cases so I made musical interpretations of Batman. The 1st is the classic parody of Jingle Bells "jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg, the batmobile lost it's wheel and the joker got away"
The 2nd is based on Electric Light Orchestra's Don't Bring Me Down
Neither of theses would exist if I hadn't spoofed Stuck in the Middle with You last year

(painting) It's Begining To Look A Lot Like Christmas
So having a limited budget this year I have decided to make my own gifts. First on the list is my mother. What do you get your mother? I had found a box of used wall tile on my way home from work one night and snagged a few. Using India ink I illustrated Santa, Frosty, Rudolph, an angel, the baby Jesus, and a Christmas tree. That's one person down and ever so many to go.
