(painting) 1000 for $10 paintings

To make up for such a late post I decided to throw down a ton of paintings from the 2nd annual 1000 for $10 show.

War and Peace: a Collaboration
I had found this print thrown out in the garbage. After trimming away the gross bits I painting sword fights from movies and television on what remained. The sources for the sword fights are; Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Pirates of the Caribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Duelist, The Princes Bride, Heroes, and Zorro.

Where Do Story Books Come From?
The idea for this piece comes from the question; where do babies come from? As you can see books and babies have similar origins.

See Pussy in Canadian Strip Clubs
One day I overheard a conversation in which a man from the United States was overjoyed by the fact that Canadian strippers take it all off instead of just going topless.

Dog Fights Are Illegal
This is a simple play on words appropriating the comic strip Peanuts by Charles Schulz. The text style was used in Good ol' Charlie Brown, and everyone knows of the Red Barron.

Mobilized Mold
When i was sharing an apartment with my older brother Matt, I noticed a peanut butter sandwich, made on a hamburger bun, wrapped in cling wrap, sitting on his bedroom floor. Over the next few weeks I would check in on its progress. Soon the dirty laundry learned to keep a safe distance. It turned from a sandwich into something... furrier. Then one day it was gone. To this day I don't think my brother threw it out, it escaped on its own.

Change For the Homeless
US President Barack Obama ran on a campaign of change. I appropriated one of his graphic posters turning the United States most powerful man into a homeless man. Instead of campaigning for change he is now begging for it. Very The Prince and The Pauper.

Boob Goo
Once God had figured out how everything fit together when making mankind, you would think her would figure out a more time efficient way of making people, especially when you consider the 6 billion people on the planet. Much like the auto industry the various parts will be assemble along the line to be put together into the finished product at the end. Here we see the beginning of the female torso assemble line, starting where it counts.

Baby Fumanchu
People love babies, even the ugly smelly ones. You know what would make Babies even cooler? Kick ass facial hair. If your baby is rocking a well maintained Fumanchu out on the playground you know he'd be the talk of the whole playground, all the way to the swings even.
