Back when I was working at a telemarketing firm called Research House I was told that I wasn't allowed to read or doodle at my station. From that moment on it was my mission to get fired for drawing. Everyday I would grab stacks of scrap paper and draw to my hearts content.
After about 8 months one of the supervisors ran up and down the room telling everyone to be on their best behavior because the VP of the company that owned our company (Enveronics) was coming in to check things out. I sat in the middle of my isle and made it more than obvious that I was drawing. Still I didn't get fired.
It was after I had been there for over a year when one week I had too many critiques and exams at school leaving me 1 shift away from the minimum so my shifts were canceled and I was terminated.
Here are some of those drawings based on answering machine messages and other things people said usually before hanging up on me.
