First off is the Sky Whales. They were created based on a reflection of the sun through my bedroom window. They are a gentle creature that survives solely on the silver lining of storm clouds. Poachers hunted the sky whales almost to the point of extinction but now they are under the protection of the UN organized Pita groups.
Next we have the very dangerous Radioactive Raccoons. These creatures prefer to hide in the shadows while they wait for their next victim. Unlike regular raccoons, they eat human flesh using trash and thrown out bits of food as a side dish to help with digestion. Next time you are taking out your garbage in the wee hours of the night watch out for the tell tale green glow of the radioactive raccoons, or you might end up as their next meal.
The Man Who Couldn’t Stop
One day a man was born a top a very large plant. This world was all the man knew. As he matured he noticed how the other creatures survived on the plant and adapted their methods to suit his needs. He collected rain water in the plants leaves and used an abandoned spider’s web as a bed. One day he saw a caterpillar eating the plant leaves so he gave it a try. The man loved it and wanted nothing more. He ate and he ate until his branch was cleared of its leaves. He took a bit of the branch and thought it wasn’t that bad. So the man continued eating until the large plant he called home was thinner than a toothpick in the center. The plant then fell and the man tumbled with it. To his surprise he landed on another large plant. His eyes had been opened and now he could see that his world wasn’t merely one plant, or two, but an entire garden. So this second plant fell just as the first had followed by a third and a forth. The man couldn’t get enough. As a plant fell sending the man to the next one, he noticed a turtle standing on the ground. “Slow down.” said the turtle to the man overhead. On the next plant the man took his time and in doing so enjoyed more of the plant before it collapsed. Again as he moved from one plant to the next the turtle was there looking perplexed. “Slow down.” The turtle said again but the man didn’t know why. Slower than the ones before it, the next plant fell. This time the turtle wasn’t looking up at the man from the ground below. When the man landed on the new plant he heard the turtle’s words, “Slow down.” In front of the man, high in the branches was the turtle. The man didn’t understand the wise turtle’s message so the turtle pointed out towards the garden. The man looked out and fell to his knees. The tall flourishing garden had been reduced to nothing but a few sparse plants surrounded by the destruction the man had left in his wake. He turned to the turtle to ask what to do, but the turtle had moved on leaving the man to clean up his own mistakes.
