(drawing) Even Dance Clubs Have Flies on Their Walls Parts 1 & 2

A few years ago I wrote a series of very short stories after a night at The Brunswick House with some friends. I entiteld the series Even Dance Clubs Have Flies on Their Walls. Here are parts 1 and 2 of 7.

part 1 The Line

A line at the door quickly moves inside. The line moves to two stations. Men use tickets to enter while ladies are ushered past. Next is the search. Remove your hat! What’s in the bag? Empty your pockets! Their hands move through every nook and cranny. They pat you down with such vigor that it borders on heavy petting. They find nothing and set you on your way

part 2 The Drugs

A woman and a man are dancing close. She reaches into her cleavage and pulls out a pill between her thumb and pointer finger. She passes it to the man in a dance move and he pops it. Like magician money appears in the man’s hand. The hand slides along the woman waist and into her pocket leaving the money as it comes out. Very smooth.
